Our client is an innovative and fast-growing brand leading the way in Australia’s luxury furniture and design sector. Since launching, they’ve built a reputation for creating beautifully considered furniture, homewares, and lighting that resonate with top interior designers and architects around the world.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of our product development team using your technical drawing skills, you’ll be essential to the process of turning ideas into tangible, high-quality pieces. You’ll collaborate closely with our Creative Director and liaise with trusted manufacturing partners to deliver work that meets exacting standards and reflects our commitment to craftsmanship and design excellence.
The Role
Your responsibility is to translate design ideas into clear, production-ready drawings and technical documentation. You’ll work across a variety of categories including furniture, lighting, and homewares, with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and efficient communication with manufacturing partners. You will be managing multiple concurrent projects and ensuring all products move smoothly through the development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks, Key Shot and Adobe Suite for use in the production of furniture, lighting, and homewares.
- Work closely with the Creative Director to develop new product concepts, including mood boards, sketches, and material selections.
- Ensure all products comply with international standards relevant to furniture, lighting, and homeware design.
- Liaise with manufacturing partners to uphold production timelines and ensure each product is built to our standards.
- Track and manage project milestones, keeping development aligned with critical deadlines.
About You
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within the luxury furniture, lighting, or homewares industry.
- You are proficient inSolidWorks, Key Shot and Adobe Suite, with confidence in both 2D and 3D drafting.
- You have a solid understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and product engineering.
- You are familiar with international compliance standards and quality benchmarks for high-end design products.
- You are an organised and efficient project manager who is comfortable handling multiple product timelines at once.
- You are able to visualise and present new concepts through hand sketches and digital tools.
- You work independently and take initiative to solve challenges as they arise.
- You communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You are confident using MS Office and CRM platforms. Experience with Cin7 is a plus.
