What You Will Be Working On

You’ll own the strategic planning that fuels our clients growth, focusing on the high-impact activities that drive revenue and profitability. Your days will be spent analysing performance data to uncover opportunities, forecasting demand to ensure we never miss a sale, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align our buying strategies with customer demand.

You’ll contribute to business planning and top-line performance management, giving you exposure to strategic decision-making. You’ll develop and refine Weekly Sales, Stock, and Intake planning tools, ensuring inventory investments maximise both sales potential and margin performance.

Your analytical insights will guide promotional strategies, help optimise product assortment across channels, and ensure the right stock levels are maintained to meet seasonal peaks while minimising markdown risk. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and developing planning capabilities as our client continues to scale.

Key areas of impact:

  • Strategic inventory planning and allocation to maximise sales while protecting margins
  • Advanced forecasting and demand planning using historical data and market insights

    Cross-functional collaboration with buying, marketing, and operations teams

  • Financial planning partnership with the CFO on budgeting and performance management
  • Team development and process improvement as we build our planning capabilities

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful

You’re an experienced merchandise planner who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments where adaptability and strategic thinking are essential. You bring strong analytical skills combined with commercial acumen, understanding that behind every number is a customer decision that impacts our clients mission.

Essential experience and skills:

  • 3-5 years of merchandise planning experience, preferably in fashion retail or ecommerce
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning systems and forecasting tools
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in KPI analysis and performance reporting
  • Proven collaboration skills working across buying, marketing, and operations functions
