In your first year, you will:

  • Lead pre-production trials and sample development across a contemporary, design-led collection
  • Create and refine initial prototypes, working closely with designers to perfect fit and construction
  • Develop comprehensive tech packs and specification sheets for seamless production handover
  • Collaborate with pattern makers and sample teams to achieve design vision through technical excellence

What You Will Be Working On

  • Developing and executing pre-production trials, ensuring design integrity from concept to sample
  • Creating detailed construction specifications and technical documentation for production teams
  • Managing fit sessions for prototypes and initial samples, providing expert technical guidance
  • Coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers during the sampling and development phase
  • Conducting quality assessments on pre-production samples and recommending improvements
  • Supporting the transition from development to production, ensuring technical accuracy throughout
  • Maintaining sample libraries and technical records for future reference and development

What Type Of Person Will Be Successful You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Bring 2–4+ years’ experience in garment technology, sample development, or pre-production roles within fashion/design
  • Have strong technical construction knowledge with a keen eye for detail and quality
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate effectively with both creative and technical teams
  • Are passionate about transforming design concepts into refined, production-ready garments
  • Have experience with tech pack creation, grading principles, and garment construction methods
